Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome patients in a professional and friendly manner - Answer phone calls and emails, take messages, and provide information as needed - Manage the reception area, ensuring it is clean and organized - Schedule appointments and maintain calendars for staff members - Assist with office management tasks such as ordering supplies and maintaining inventory - Check patient benefits and call insurance providers in cases of billing disputes - Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information Requirements:
- Proven experience as a receptionist or office assistant - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal - Proficient in using phone systems and office equipment - Familiarity with calendar management software - Knowledge of basic bookkeeping principles - Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively This position requires a professional demeanor, strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a receptionist or office assistant, with knowledge of office management procedures.
Medical receptionist experience is also desirable.
